Entrepreneurial Development Training Programme

The Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme provides business development support services to young people between the ages of eighteen (18) and thirty (30). One of these services is an Entrepreneurial Development Training Programme. This training is conducted annually over two (2) six month sessions. Sessions usually commence in April and October each year.

The training programme is conducted on a modular basis and consists of the followingmodules and workshops withmodifications to suit the particular needs of the clients:

  • Time Management
  • AIDS in theWorkplace
  • Skills Development for Sales Personnel
  • Business Etiquette
  • Human Resource Management
  • Determing the legal structure of business
  • Risk Management
  • Taxation
  • The National Insurance Scheme
  • Labour Laws
  • Public Speaking
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Finance Planning
  • Branding and Image Building

Participants who successfully complete the programme are presented with a certificate at the annual graduation ceremony.
