    Yes is located on the Ground Floor, S P Musson Building, Hincks Street, Bridgetown.

  2. Do you lend money?

    No, we refer persons to agencies such as Fund Access, Barbados Youth Business Trust, Commercial Banks or Credit Unions.

  3. Can I start my business before training?

    Yes. Clients are encouraged to discuss their ideas with an officer and then proceed with business set up.

  4. How do I register my business?

    Once a name has been obtained for the business, it is then registered with the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office.

  5. I have an idea for a business, what do I do?

    You make an appointment with a Youth Enterprise Officer at the YES Office and discuss its possibilities.

    It is kept confidential.

    No, office hours are Weekdays Monday – Fridays 8:15am to 4:30pm.

  8. Can I switch officers?

    It is advisable that clients remain with the YEO that they had seen after their initial visit. Any queries regarding switching officers should be directed to the Manager, YES.

    No, it is the responsibility of the client to research a suitable location for their business.

  10. Can I defer training until the next session?

    YES, but this must be done in writing to the Manager, YES.

  11. I was unable to complete training, can I complete it and is there a cost?

    Yes, completion cost is per module which is twenty dollars per module ($20.00).

  12. I have missed a few classes; will I still be able to graduate?

    The basic requirement for graduation is 75% attendance of EACH module.

    Yes, it is advisable because of the practical nature of the modules.

    No, because of the high number of interested persons for entrepreneurial training, we are unable to accommodate repeat participants.

    The client must have a registered business. The officer must concur that the services are beneficial to the client.
